Learning God's Ways
Take care and watch yourself closely, so as neither to forget the things that your eyes have seen nor to let them slip from your mind all the days of your life; make them known to your children and your children's children. - Deuteronomy 4:9
Moses reminds the Israelites, and us, that God's law is something that doesn't just affect how we act, it also changes who we are and how we look at life itself. God's love is all around us, and it guides us in how to treat others with care and respect - because that's the way God treats us. When we treat others that way, we can teach others, including our children, without saying a word; our example speaks louder than any words.
God, help us to know your ways deeply so we can be more like you.
